Ah, well, this is a very reassuring article I found while looking up the proper term for all the personal design crap I’ve done that I need to add to my portfolio. Turns out that was a good idea - first to have DONE these projects to begin with, and also to decide to add them to my portfolio! (things like my awesome Harry Potter shirts for equality!)

I’m working on updating my portfolio, and I thought maybe while I’m waiting for InDesign to load an image (lol slow computer, y so slow?), I’d ask if any of you have any suggestions, tips, or stories about finding work in graphic design/illustration/photography/art?

One of my long-term goals has always been to move to SF proper (I’ve only lived in the SF ‘burbs), after having worked there for several years and commuted to school there. I don’t disagree with a lot of what’s in this post.

So, I’ve been reading/browsing through articles and photos of “dead malls” which are just what they sound like: Malls that have been abandoned or have lost most of it’s stores/customers.
I will never be able to tell you why, but this photo has me rolling on the floor laughing. ART BAR. There doesn’t even appear to be and actual window through which bartenders of the Art Bar could serve the drinks. WHY AN ART BAR? Is that the art/gay version of a sports bar? :D
